COVID-19 – Services Update

Many of our services are beginning to get back to normal as the Government continues to ease lockdown restrictions in most of the country. We understand these are still worrying and deeply unsettling times and we are here to help. Please contact us if you need help or support.

Our main focus continues to be on keeping our customers and staff as safe as possible, which means that some services, and the ways in which we do things or contact you, will be different for the time being.

We continue to follow government guidance and our employees adhere to the 2-metre social distancing rule and wear all necessary personal protective equipment while in your home. The current advise we follow from Government can be found here

We will still be contacting you before appointments and operatives will ask if anyone is shielding or self-isolating before they enter your home.

when to have your tree pruned

It is possible to prune the majority of trees at any time of the year, although it is best to avoid pruning trees just before they come to leaf.

There are a few species that cannot be successfully pruned whilst still in leaf, i.e. walnut & silver birch. Different trees benefit from being pruned at different times of year. If you are in any doubt, you should seek advice from a professional.

tree protection

Before work can commence on your tree it is essential that the local planning authority council tree officer is contacted to check whether or not your tree is

protected with a tree reservation order or is growing in a conservation area. Action tree services will provide the service free of charge on acceptance of quotation.
